Pentair Big Blue Sediment Water Filter, 10-Inch, 0.5 Micron

The Pentair Pentek WP-BB Series Cartridges are available in lengths of 10" and 20" and have a diameter of 4.5". These cartridges are made of a durable polypropylene string that is wound around a rigid polypropylene core. They are an affordable option for reducing fine sediment such as rust, sand, and scale particles.

The material used in the WP-BB Cartridges is a fibrous polypropylene media that is precisely wound around a polypropylene core. This design provides a larger surface area, allowing for high flow rates. Additionally, an anti-static agent is used during the winding process to minimize the electrical charges that occur.

These string-wound cartridges can withstand temperatures up to 165°F (73.9°C) and have flow rates ranging from 10 to 65 gallons per minute (GPM) with minimal pressure drop. They are suitable for various sediment applications, including both municipal and well water, and can also be used with industrial fluids as they are chemically resistant.

Please note that the use of the anti-static agent in the WP-BB Cartridges may cause some foaming when initially installed. If foaming occurs, ensure your water remains clean by removing dirt, sand, silt, and other particulates.

These cartridges can be used with all 10" Big Blue Housing and are compatible replacements for any 10" x 4.5" sediment filter. With its string-wound construction, it has a high dirt-catching capacity and can maintain excellent flow rates.
