Pentair Pleated Sediment Water Filter, 10-Inch, 10” x 4.5”, 20 Micron

The Pentair Pentek S1 Series Cartridges are designed to provide general water filtration by using a pleated cellulose media. These cartridges are made with a polypropylene core to increase durability. The standard cartridges have pleated endcaps that are coated with thermosetting vinyl plastisol. On the other hand, the Big Blue cartridges have molded endcaps with gaskets. To ensure a secure seal, the pleated ends are attached to the endcap using a thermoplastic adhesive. Furthermore, the overlap seam is sonically welded to minimize bypass and improve filtration efficiency. The S1 Series Cartridges are cost-effective and highly efficient in reducing sediment particles as small as 20 microns. Its purpose is to keep your water clean and protect your appliances by removing dirt, sand, silt, and other particles.

These cartridges are suitable for all 10-inch Pentair Pentek Big Blue housings or any other heavy-duty housing. They can be used as a replacement for any 10x4.5-inch sediment filter cartridge. The Pleated Media Design, which surrounds the polypropylene core, allows for maximum dirt holding capacity and adds strength to the cartridge. It is recommended to use these cartridges for chlorinated water supplies, as they are designed to effectively filter out sediment particles.
