The Pentek ChlorPlus 10 carbon block filter cartridge is specifically designed to reduce chlorine and chloramine in residential drinking water. It meets the material requirements set out by the National Sanitation Foundation/American National Standards Institute (NSF/ANSI) standard 42. However, it is not recommended for use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without proper disinfection before or after the system.
