Pentair CRFC20-BB Water Filter, 20 x 4.5, 25 Micron

This Pentek CRFC20-BB filter cartridge is designed to reduce chlorine and chloramine in both residential and commercial drinking water, ensuring a great tasting and clearer water experience. It is made of granular activated carbon (GAC) media with a spun polypropylene inner wrap for post filtering of carbon fines, as well as a porous polyethylene outer shell. The cartridge has a nominal filtration rating of 20 microns at an efficiency of 85%.

With a flow rate of 4 gallons per minute (gpm), the filter can reduce free available chlorine (FAC) at 2 parts per million (ppm) by at least 75% in up to 200,000 gallons of water. It can also reduce 3 ppm chloramines by at least 75% in up to 25,000 gallons of water at a flow rate of 2.5 gpm. The initial pressure drop of the filter is 2.5 pounds per square inch (psi) at a recommended flow rate of 5 gpm. It can operate within a temperature range of 40 to 125 degrees F (4.4 to 51.7 degrees C).

Designed to fit all 20" Big Blue Housing and compatible with any 20" x 4.5" carbon filter, this cartridge offers superior chloramine and chlorine reduction compared to other granular carbon filters. Its unique design also reduces the presence of carbon fines in filtered water, which is often found in other types of granulated canister filters.

With a capacity of 200,000 gallons, it is recommended to replace the filter cartridge every year or when there is a noticeable drop in water pressure or water quality. This carbon filter cartridge is suitable for the treatment of both residential and commercial drinking water, providing effective reduction of sediment and chlorine taste & odor.
