Installation is quick and easy. Follow these steps: 1. Turn off the water supply and press the red pressure-relief button (if present). 2. Unscrew the housing and remove the large o-ring, clean it, and set it aside. 3. Discard the used filter cartridge and wash the housing with dish soap and warm water using a nonabrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly. 4. Fill 1/3 of the housing with water. Add 1 tablespoon of bleach and scrub to disinfect. Rinse thoroughly. 5. Lubricate the o-ring with clean silicone grease. Replace it if it is damaged. Insert the o-ring into the groove. 6. Make sure the o-ring is seated level in the groove to ensure a proper housing seal. 7. Insert the new filter cartridge. 8. Screw the housing onto the cap and hand-tighten. Ensure that the cap standpipe slips into the cartridge. 9. Turn on the water supply, press the pressure-relief button (if present), and check for leaks before completing the installation.
