Pentair Pentek RFC-20BB Big Blue Carbon Water Filter, 20-Inch

The Pentair Pentek RFC Series Cartridges feature a durable construction, consisting of a 70-micron porous polyethylene outer shell and polypropylene endcaps. The cartridges are available in two sizes - 2-3⁄4" outer diameter with a polypropylene core, and 4-1⁄2" outer diameter with a spun polypropylene core. These cartridges incorporate a bed of granular activated carbon (GAC) between the outer shell and core.

One of the unique features of the RFC Series Cartridges is their radial flow design, which offers the advantages of GAC filtration, such as minimal pressure drop, while also reducing the release of carbon fines typically associated with GAC-style cartridges. This makes them ideal for high flow rate applications, including point-of-entry (POE) systems.

The RFC Series Cartridges are available in various sizes to suit different needs and are designed to fit all 20" Pentair Pentek Big Blue or other heavy-duty filter housings. They can easily replace any 20" x 4.5" carbon filter cartridge.

For your peace of mind, the RFC Series Cartridges have been tested and certified by NSF INTERNATIONAL. They effectively reduce sediment and chlorine taste and odor, resulting in clearer and better-tasting water.

With a capacity of 100,000 gallons, the RFC Series Cartridges need to be replaced every year or when a decline in water pressure or quality is noticed.
