Installation of our water filter system is quick and easy. Here are the steps:

1. Turn off the water supply and press the red pressure-relief button (if present).
2. Unscrew the housing and remove the large o-ring. Clean the o-ring and set it aside.
3. Discard the used filter cartridge and wash the housing with dish soap and warm water using a nonabrasive sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Fill 1/3 of the housing with water and add about 1 tablespoon of bleach. Scrub the housing to disinfect it. Rinse thoroughly.
5. Lubricate the o-ring with clean silicone grease and insert it in the groove. Change the o-ring if any damage cuts or degradation are present.
6. Make sure the o-ring is seated level in the groove to ensure a proper housing seal.
7. Insert the new filter cartridge.
8. Screw the housing onto the cap and hand-tighten. Do not over-tighten. Make sure the cap standpipe slips into the cartridge.
9. Turn on the water supply and press the pressure-relief button (if present). Check for leaks before leaving the installation.
